Add or Multiply?

A simple card game for three players, by Allan Stagg.

RULES

Each player has 10 number cards with values 0, 0, 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.

Each player also has six operation cards, three of which are M(ultiply) and three are A(dd).

Each turn a player must play two of his number cards, one on each of his opponents. He must also play one of his operation cards on himself.

The two number cards played on a player, and the operation card he has played, determine the score the player earns for that turn.

The player with the highest score after five rounds will be declared the winner.

Ted 2 + 4 = 6 Remaining cards 0,0,1,1,2,2,5,6 A,A,M,M,M

Round 2

Brian plays 4 on Susie and 0 on Ted, and an Addition operation card.

Susie plays 6 on Brian and 2 on Ted, and an Addition operation card.

Susie 4 + 0 = 4 + 5 = 9 Remaining cards 0,1,1,2,3,5 A,M,M,M

Ted 2 x 0 = 0 + 6 = 6 Remaining cards 0,1,1,2,5,6 A,A,M,M

Round 3

Brian plays 1 on Susie and 6 on Ted, and a Multiply operation card.

Susie plays 1 on Brian and 2 on Ted, and a Multiply operation card.

Ted plays 2 on Brian and 1 on Susie, and a Multiply operation card

Results:

Brian 1 x 2 = 2 + 8 = 10 Remaining cards 0,2,3,5 A,A,M

Susie 1 x 1 = 1 + 9 = 10 Remaining cards 0,1,3,5 A,M,M

Ted 6 x 2 = 12 + 6 = 18 Remaining cards 0,1,5,6 A,M,M

Round 4

Brian plays 3 on Susie and 0 on Ted, and an Addition operation card.

Susie plays 5 on Brian and 1 on Ted, and a Multiply operation card.

Ted plays 6 on Brian and 1 on Susie, and an Addition operation card.

Susie 3 x 1 = 3 + 10 = 13 Remaining cards 0,3 A,M

Ted 0 + 1 = 1 + 18 = 19 Remaining cards 0,5 M,M

Round 5

Susie plays 3 on Brian and 0 on Ted, and a Multiplication operation card.

Ted plays 0 on Brian and 5 on Susie, and a Multiplication operation card.

Results:

Brian 3 + 0 = 3 + 21 = 24

Susie 5 x 5 = 25 + 13 = 38

Ted 2 x 0 = 0 + 19 = 19

A good win for Susie. If she had played the Addition operation card on the last turn, then Ted would have won.
